DEEM Enterprises Reiterates Plan to Redevelop AC’s Defunct Bader Field Airport
One of the highlights of the project is the cutting-edge automotive and motorsport ecosystem, which will underpin transportation in the community and drive innovation in Bader Field and Atlantic City as a whole

DEEM Enterprises, a visionary group seeking to redevelop Atlantic City’s Bader Field airport, has reiterated its plans to breathe new life into the area.
DEEM Wants to Breathe New Life into the Defunct Airport
DEEM Enterprises’ $3.4 billion project seeks to enhance Bader Field with premium entertainment and lifestyle facilities. The project will notably have a focus on sustainable motorsport living as the company seeks to “redefine Atlantic City.”
The multi-billion Renaissance will turn the former airport into a thriving community that would build thousands of housing properties and create thousands of jobs. In addition to that, the area will offer shopping districts, restaurants, a health and wellness center, and multiple entertainment options, among other things.
As of the time of this writing, however, there are no plans to add a casino.
To ensure Bader Field’s safety, the transformation would see the developer raise the land to protect the place from storms. To top it all off, DEEM Enterprises targets Platinum LEED certification, hoping to achieve net-zero carbon status.
DEEM Enterprises believes that the project would have a significant impact on Atlantic City and influence its neighboring communities too. The company leaders hope to turn Atlantic City, famous for its casinos, opportunities and entertainment, into an environmentally-friendly leader in economic and community innovation.
F1 Racetrack Will Pass Through the Complex
One of the highlights of the project is the cutting-edge automotive and motorsport ecosystem, which will underpin transportation in the community and drive innovation in Bader Field and Atlantic City as a whole. A 2.44-mile F1 raceway is set to pass through the complex, allowing it to host races.
This comes as Las Vegas, another major casino hub, hosted its second Formula One race. While the F1 races in Las Vegas have become somewhat controversial because of the traffic and business disruption they cause, their success cannot be disputed.
The previous race was a boon to Vegas Strip casinos’ revenue, although the 2024 editions failed to achieve the same effect.
The Project Has Been Stuck in Limbo
The Bader Field revitalization project has been stuck in limbo for a while but it seems that DEEM Entertainment is finally ready to move forward. While some have lost hope that the former airport area will be revitalized, Dan Gallagher, partner at DEEM Enterprises, is optimistic about the project’s future.
After six years of extensive negations and collaboration, we’re proud to extend our partnership with Mayor Small, Atlantic City Council, Governor Phil Murphy, New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Jacquelyn A. Suárez to realize this shared vision.
Dan Gallagher, partner, DEEM Enterprises
Gallagher said that the Renaissance project would represent a “bold new chapter” for the entire city. He hopes to close an agreement with AC by the end of March, promising that he has attracted significant investor interest.
