Betfair Expands Live Video Partnership with Racing Post

Online gambling company, Betfair, expanded its partnership with Spotlight Sports Group. The partnership expansion enables the highly popular Racing Post Live show to produce live video content throughout 2021.

Betfair and Spotlight Sports Group Expand Existing Partnership

Spotlight Sports Group announced that it extended its existing partnership with Betfair. As a result of the partnership expansion, Spotlight Sports’ highly popular Racing Post Live show will be able to produce live video content throughout 2021. Launched just over a year ago, the popular show features live commentary from racing experts as well as exchange prices and tips, throughout each full racing day.

Furthermore, under the extended partnership, Racing Post Live will broadcast every Saturday afternoon until the end of the year. The show is also going to cover the major racing festivals such as Goodwood, Ascot, Cheltenham, and Aintree. HD video quality and more live data are going to create memorable experiences for sports fans and increase engagement.

The live broadcasts are going to continue appearing on the Racing Post’s YouTube and Facebook platforms. Furthermore, according to Spotlight Sports, the platforms are going to continue featuring real-time content to “distribute the best reactive content across the Racing Post, MyRacing and Betfair social channels“.

The Two Companies Are Delighted to Expand Their Partnership

In a statement, Gethin Evans, chief marketing officer at Spotlight Sports Group shared his excitement by saying that the company is delighted to extend its partnership with Betfair. He acknowledged that despite the difficulties which the COVID-19 pandemic brought last year, the company continued to increase its audience and engagement.

Furthermore, Evans stressed that although people weren’t able to spend a day at the races, they have enjoyed the great studio atmosphere. In conclusion, he said that that the company’s in-house production team is currently implementing the HD motion graphics and additional integrated data, which will undoubtedly “enhance the viewing experience“.

Betfair’s head of brand marketing for the UK and Ireland, Harry Phillips, shared his excitement by outlining that the company is delighted to extend its partnership with Spotlight Sports Group throughout 2021. Furthermore, he acknowledged that Racing Post Live proved to be a big hit. In conclusion, Phillips said that Betfair is excited to see how the team is going to further expand the success of the platform this year.

Earlier this month, the Colombian gambling regulator, Coljuegos, announced that it issued a five-year iGaming license to Betfair. Consequently, the company was allowed to offer online poker, slot gaming, daily fantasy sports betting, and sports betting in Colombia.
