BetBlocker Launches in the United States as Expansion Continues
One of the most ambitious language-focused responsible gambling self-exclusion non-for-profit entities has launched its product in the United States

BetBlocker, a company that specializes in the delivery of powerful self-help and responsible gambling tools across the world, has announced that it has now introduced its services in the regulated iGaming and sports betting market in the United States.
BetBlocker US Plants Its Banner in the United States
This is a significant milestone for the company, which seeks to work in languages that are spoken by large groups of people in specific countries, taking a much more meticulous approach to managing gambling-related harm than its main competitors.
Commenting on the establishment of BetBlocker US, company trustee and creator Duncan Garvie had this to say:
BetBlocker’s pioneering free support has been minimizing harm for tens of thousands of people all over the world for close to a decade now. By establishing the U.S. arm of the charity, it is our hope that we can raise the profile of the service in North America and support tens of thousands more people in the coming years.

The company, which is a non-for-profit, has already launched in several other languages and in numerous other jurisdictions across the globe, developing a dedicated version in Catalan and Portuguese, and offering several different language interpretations in the United Kingdom, with a specific focus on Eastern Europeans.
The multi-lingual approach adopted by BetBlocker helps truly set it out from other similar services, and BetBlocker is now planning to launch English, Spanish, and Chinese problem gambling support services in the United States, as these three languages represent the largest language groups in the country.
BetBlocker allows consumers to self-exclude, but how far it takes it will depend on how quickly the not-for-profit can work with local gambling operators. For example, BetBlocker is working with the Colorado Lottery, which has already featured its self-exclusion tool on its list of helpful resources.

BetBlocker US is registered as a 501(c) non-profit in Delaware, the company said in an official press release. As to the company’s focus on different languages, BetBlocker already supports 17 languages because it firmly believes that offering responsible gambling help in a person’s mother tongue has the strongest impact on their habits.
BetBlocker has a number of successful partnerships under its belt. On the occasion of European Safer Gambling Week 2024, the company teamed up with EveryMatrix to develop a Maltese-language version, and the company received private funding from an individual to help spearhead an Italian version as well.
In 2024, BetBlocker received the National Council on Problem Gambling’s Gambling Harm Prevention Award.
