Yahoo Sports Teams with LA Chargers’ Austin Ekeler

Yahoo Sports, a sports news media delivering comprehensive news, score, standings, analyses, fantasy games, rumors and more, announced today it entered into a season-long partnership with Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler.

Insider’s Insights

An avid football player and a big fan of fantasy football, Austin Ekeler will join the Yahoo Fantasy team as a fantasy football analyst to help the outlet create and deliver new and unique content and further engage with its audience via a weekly fantasy show titled “Ekeler’s Edge.”

Being the star of the show scheduled to debut in late August, the Chargers running back and founder of Gridiron Gaming Group, Ekeler will utilize his personal experience as a football player facing opponents’ defenses in the NFL to deliver insights regarding which players can be expected to perform at their best in the upcoming week.

To ensure excitement for NFL fans at Yahoo Sports, Austin Ekeler will also conduct interviews with other stars of the league, as well as fantasy sports players across the nation, and, together with expert commentary provided by fantasy football analyst Liz Loza and Yahoo’s fantasy platform, “Fantasy Football Live,” the new programming will keep its audience ahead of the game and informed throughout the season.

As part of the season-long arrangement, Ekeler and Yahoo Sports will host live conversations during the football season to address questions raised by football and fantasy sports fans and offer deep insights for the fantasy community, which will be able to watch the stream across Yahoo Sports and its associated social media partners, such as TikTok. Ekeler’s popular Twitch channel will co-stream the new programming, as well.

Reinventing Fantasy Football

The partnership with the LA Chargers running back is the latest in a series of initiatives announced by Yahoo Sports aimed at reinventing the fantasy football experience for its fans, including the launch of the Yahoo Fantasy Football championship in partnership with MGM Resorts. This initiative offers fantasy football fans the option of competing at MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino in Maryland.

Another initiative aimed to engage the sports media with its audience is the new programming on Fantasy Football Live, Yahoo Sportsbook Live, set to debut across Yahoo Sportsbook, Yahoo Fantasy and Yahoo Sports on Sundays by letting fans place real-time bets during halftime.
