Wind Creek Hospitality and Betfred Add Online Sports Betting
The business entity of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Wind Creek Hospitality, and the US subsidiary of UK-based sports betting and iGaming operator Betfred, Betfred USA Sports, announced yesterday the launch of online sports betting in Pennsylvania.
Online Betting to Complement Retail Sportsbook
The launch of online wagering through the Wind Creek casino platform is coming in the footsteps of the recent opening of the retail sportsbook at the tribal casino by both partners. Last month, Wind Creek Hospitality and Betfred opened the retail location in the space of former Buddy V’s Ristorante at the property.
“Launching the online Sportsbook provides a dynamic element to our online gaming experience that enables our Guests to engage with us and play from anywhere they like while in PA without requiring any travelling.”
Ken Rohman, Chief Marketing Officer, Wind Creek Hospitality
Following the announcement, guests to the Keystone State can now place wagers via the Wind Creek Casino online betting platforms, giving them access to the full array of the sportsbook at the casino from anywhere in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through desktops or the native mobile apps.
“We are proud to add online sports betting to the Wind Creek Casino online portfolio, and close out 2020 with yet another offering for our valued Guests.”
Ken Rohman, Chief Marketing Officer, Wind Creek Hospitality
Online Betting Only Option at the Moment
Having its sports betting operations powered by Betfred, The Sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem casino which features 2 video walls, multiple TVs, 3 betting windows and 8 self-servicing betting kiosks and even a sports pub, provides an exciting atmosphere for sports fans.
“We’re excited to formally launch online sports wagering in Pennsylvania with our partners at Wind Creek Hospitality following the successful launch of the retail sportsbook earlier this Fall.”
Bryan Bennett, COO, Betfred USA Sports
The launch of the sportsbook at Wind Creek Casino last month further extended the partnership between the tribal hospitality operator and the UK-based gaming company, marking the first sportsbook for Wind Creek Hospitality in the US and the third for Betfred after the ones at Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa, and Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.
“We look forward to bringing over a decade of online bookmaking experience to the Commonwealth and delivering the best sports betting experience to Wind Creek guests.”
Bryan Bennett, COO, Betfred USA Sports
The casino suffered an unexpected setback in December when it had to shut down operations for the second time, following state orders related to the efforts to curb the rising numbers of new daily virus cases. The property closed temporarily December 12 for 3 weeks and is set to re-open January 6.
