USMNT vs. Colombia Soccer Odds, Time, and Prediction

The United States vs. Colombia game is one of the most interesting international friendlies in the build-up to the 2024 Copa America. The USMNT will welcome the visitors from Colombia at FedEx Field in Landover, on Saturday, June 8

You can think of the United States vs. Colombia friendly game as the USMNT’s dress rehearsal for the 2024 Copa America. Gregg Berhalter’s men will try to get a win in order to keep the spirits high after a couple of brilliant performances earlier this year.

Los Cafeteros, however, will do all in their power to spoil the fun for the majority of 55,000 fans expected to attend the June 15 game at FedEx Field.

USMNT to Demonstrate Their Power to the Fans

As we elaborated in our 2024 Copa America preview, the USMNT players have every right to feel good about their chances in the biggest North American soccer competition. Not only is the tournament taking place on their turf, but their 2024 roster looks really good.

The Americans have some amazing players in every area of the field, with their captain Christian Pulisic being their biggest star. But this team isn’t a one-man army, with plenty of talented players there in addition to the AC Milan forward. In fact, it seems that the USMNT has never been this well-rounded.

This is why America’s recent success shouldn’t surprise anyone. As a reminder, the USMNT won the CONCACAF Nations League earlier this year. It was their third win in a row, but one may argue that it was the most impressive victory so far.

The Americans beat Mexico 2-0 in the Final, while before that, we saw them knock out Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

Colombians Coming to the US to Have Fun

Colombia’s national soccer team doesn’t look as powerful as it did a few years ago. The roster is made up of aging players, many of whom seem as if they’ve lost their passion for soccer.

Their captain is 32-year-old James Rodriguez who’s playing for Sao Paulo in Brazil at the moment, while their most capped player is 35-year-old David Ospina, who’s under the contract with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Their biggest star is Luis Diaz who might be in need of rest after a very busy season with Liverpool, which saw him miss just one Premier League game.

United States vs. Colombia Prediction

Even though friendly games usually don’t matter much for the teams involved, we do think the USMNT will take this one seriously. Coach Gregg Berhalter wants to maintain a positive atmosphere in the locker room and the best way to do it is to grab a win against Colombia this coming Saturday.
