Portugal Hoping to Upset the Odds Once Again
In the semifinal with Germany, Portugal were +300 underdogs at some betting sites. How things started panning out in the game, it looked as if the bookies were right. Germany was the dominant side in the first half and even scored a goal in the early stages of the second half.
But then, roughly around the one-hour mark, the Portuguese players switched up a gear. Francisco Conceicao scored the equalizer in the 63rd minute, while five minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the goal that later proved to be the final of the match.

While those two were the goalscorers for Portugal, their teammates put on a great show as well. In fact, this team performed great as a collective, keeping the ball away from their goal in the final half an hour, allowing the opposition to make just one shot at goal.
This is a great achievement, especially considering that the UEFA Nations League Finals are played in Germany, so the fans in the stands were rooting against them the whole time.
Spain’s Offense Looking Incredible
Spain beat France in the semifinal 5:4, with two goals by Lamine Yamal, one by Nico Williams, one by Pedri, and one by Mikel Merino. Mikel Oyarzabal didn’t score that day, but he did make two assists.
They weren’t as great defensively, though. Goalkeeper Unai Simon went 5-for-9 with saves, which is a stat showing that he did okay, but his teammates let the French create too many chances.
Twenty-year-old center-back Dean Huijsen had a disappointing game, and so did his colleague, Robin Le Normand. He was subbed by the coach in the 77th minute, but his replacement, Dani Vivian did even worse – he scored an own goal just a couple of minutes later.
Portugal vs. Spain Prediction
Who’s going to win the 2025 UEFA Nations League? We think it’s going to be Spain. Sure, their defense looked bad against France, but the French are much more lethal offensively than Spain’s opponent in the Final.
Even if CR7 & Co. manage to score some goals on Sunday, we’re certain that Yamal and his teammates will make their work useless.
