The Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to make their first 5-0 start to the season since 2017. For that, they need to beat the New Orleans Saints. Judging by the 2024 NFL odds, it shouldn’t be much of a problem, given that the game is played at Arrowhead where Andy Reid’s men are famously tough to beat.

Another reason why the Chiefs are favored to win the Week 5 MNF game is that their rivals are coming to Kansas City after two straight losses. Still, we don’t think the Saints should be underestimated as these guys have already put on some really fantastic performances this season.

New Orleans Saints Coming to Arrowhead to Try and Get a Win

The New Orleans Saints are very fun to watch in the 2024 NFL. They’re 2-2 overall, and with 31.8 points scored per game, they’ve got the most productive offense in the league.

Quarterback Derek Carr has been pretty good so far, throwing for 824 yards in four games, for 6 touchdowns. His job was made easy by NOLA’s elite receivers like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, and tight end Taysom Hill.

Still, it’s the Saints’ running game that’s been their most impressive feature this season. Alvin Kamara is sitting in shared first place on the list of running backs with the most rushing TDs in 2024.

His colleague Jamaal Williams has also been great and even QB Carr has been doing a fine job running the ball.

New Orleans’ defense is there among the best as well. With 17.5 points conceded per game on average, they’re sixth in the NFL. However, our prediction is that the number will go up after the game with the Chiefs in Week 5.

Defending Champions Looking Unstoppable in 2024

The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 in the 2024 NFL, which is really a great achievement given that their schedule was pretty tough. In the first two game weeks, they played against the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, both of which are seen as potential Super Bowl candidates.

In Week 3, the Chiefs played against the revamped Atlanta Falcons, followed by a game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Andy Reid’s men beat them without too much hassle, keeping them to under 20 points each time.

Their defense has been very good in 2024, but it’s QB Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense that’s been their strongest weapon.

New Orleans Saints vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

The Kansas City Chiefs are the best team in the NFL, the evidence being that they’re the ones who won the last two Super Bowls. Their 4-0 run hasn’t happened by accident. On the contrary, they’re in superb shape because they’ve got amazing players.

We have no doubt that they’re going to make it 5-0 on Monday, but we do think the Saints will give them a run for their money. The visitors from Louisiana are very dangerous offensively, which is why we think they’re going to make things very interesting at Arrowhead. As a result, they should lose by no more than just a couple of points.

Pick: New Orleans Saints +5
