Los Angeles Galaxy’s Forwards Looking Unstoppable

Los Angeles Galaxy have scored in every single game in all competitions (MLS and Leagues Cup) since mid-July. In their last two games, we saw them put away 9 goals, which helped them knock the Colorado Rapids out of the 2024 MLS Playoffs.

Playmaker Riqui Puig scored four of those and is now sitting in the shared 1st spot on the list of Galaxy’s top scorers in the 2024 MLS, along with strikers Gabriel Pec and Dejan Joveljic. As if that wasn’t enough, another 11 players have scored at least a goal for Galaxy in the league.

That said, Galaxy could be the team with the best offense in the entire United States. Their defense, however, isn’t as great. It’s not that they don’t have good defenders’ it’s just that their coach Greg Vanney likes to see all of his men push forward, including those from the back four.

Minnesota United Have No Other Options But to Fight Back

Minnesota United are coming to Los Angeles to try and take the game to penalties, the same as they did in their last two games – they beat Real Salt Lake on penalties each time.

Given that they probably won’t be able to defend successfully against LA Galaxy, their only option to get anything out of this game is to fight back. Luckily for them, attacking is something they do very well.

Minnesota’s coach Eric Ramsey has some really food forwards at his disposal, starting with South African striker Bongokuhle Hlongwane who’s this team’s top scorer with 11 goals. They also have Finnish veteran Teemu Pukki in the final third, a guy who struggled with injuries last month, but who’s eager to show he’s worthy of a starting position.

Pukki’s compatriot Robin Lod is Minnesota’s best midfielder. This guy has been very creative with his passes, 16 of which resulted in a goal assist this season.

Los Angeles Galaxy vs. Minnesota United Prediction

We don’t think Minnesota United can get anything out of the November 24 game with a defensive approach. They probably can’t do much with an offensive strategy either, but it would at least give them a fighting chance.

That’s why we predict there will be a lot of goals in this game. Who’s gonna score more? It’s got to be Galaxy.

Pick: Los Angeles Galaxy & Over 2.5 Goals
