Las Vegas Raiders to Give War to Their AFC West Rivals
The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-2 in the 2024 NFL. Those two losses happened to the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers. The latter came as a surprise given that the Panthers aren’t much of a team in 2024.
When it comes to their wins, they defeated the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, both of which have huge ambitions for the 2024 season. In both of those games, the Raiders did very well defensively.
Offensively, the Raiders have been fantastic rushing the ball. They’re in the 10th-shared place when it comes to rushing TDs with one per game on average. What about their passing? Quarterback Gardner Minshew II hasn’t been very consistent, throwing for only 3 TDs so far.
Denver Broncos Favored to Win in Week 5
Same as the Raiders, the Denver Broncos too are 2-2 on the season. The difference is that they won both of their last two games. After losing to the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers, they went on to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets.
It was their defensive team that practically won both of those games for them. Against the Bucs, they conceded just 7 points. Against the Jets, they allowed 9 points but prevented QB Aaron Rodgers from throwing for a single TD.
The Broncos’ offense, however, hasn’t been too impressive. In fact, they’re the 3rd-worst offense in the AFL right now. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix hasn’t been great passing-wise, but he did manage to score two rushing TDs in the first four games. Further, running back Jaleel McLaughlin scored another rushing TD, while Denver’s receivers have scored only one TD (Courtland Sutton).
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos Prediction
Both teams are great at rushing the ball and both are pretty good when it comes to passing defense. That said, it’s clear that all eyes will be on running backs in Sunday’s AFC West clash. So, which team has better runners?
We think it’s Las Vegas, with RBs Zamir White and Alexander Mattison, as well as QB Minshew who’s known for loving to carry the ball on his own.
Pick: Las Vegas Raiders
