J&J Gaming Completes Leisure Gaming Takeover in Nevada
The completed acquisition grows further J&J Gaming's footprint in Montana and Nevada
The national leader in the operation and installation of regulated gaming devices, J&J Gaming, announced that it has successfully completed the acquisition of a Nevada-based operator of nonrestricted casinos, Leisure Gaming.
Golden Route Operations Acquires Leisure Gaming
The strategic acquisition was finalized on December 16, 2024, after the former secured the required regulatory approvals from the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board. On Thursday, J&J Gaming confirmed that its subsidiary, Golden Route Operations (GRO), has completed the strategic takeover of Leisure Gaming.
The acquisition represents an important milestone for J&J Gaming as it grows further the company’s presence and offering. The deal to acquire Leisure Gaming encompasses a total of ten nonrestricted casinos. The venues primarily included truck stops that will now help J&J Gaming’s expansion.

Ryan Albright, Leisure Gaming’s VP of operations, revealed that joining forces with Golden Route Operations marks an exciting moment for the company and its growing customer base. “With the strength and support of an industry leader like J&J Gaming, we are confident this partnership will bring new opportunities, growth, and innovation to our customers and team members,” he added.

Robert Willenborg, J&J Gaming’s CEO, spoke about Leisure Gaming’s heritage, operating gaming devices at truck stop locations across Nevada since 1993. According to the executive, the strategic business combination is expected to deliver great value to the two companies and their customers in the gaming industry, which is a sector that continues to grow and evolve. “With this acquisition, we are better positioned to provide our local and national customers with the excellence in service that J&J Gaming is known for,” said Willenborg in conclusion.

Currently, J&J Gaming is recognized as a leader in the operation and installation of regulated gaming devices in businesses such as truck stops, convenience stores, bars, taverns and other outlets. With the acquisition of Leisure Gaming, the company strengthens its operations further in Nevada, as well as Montana.
The successful takeover means that J&J Gaming will now have more than 11,000 gaming terminals. Across the country, the company also powers the offering of 3,600 venues, delivering gaming-as-a-service.
