Two years ago, he fought Israel Adesanya for the title, while since then, he’s 2-1, with wins over Sean Strickland and Marvin Vettori, and a TKO loss to Nassourdine Imavov. The loss in question happened less than three months ago and Cannonier is eager to get back onto the winning track.

Pulling it off won’t be easy as he’s locking horns with Caio Borralho who’s without a loss in over 9 years.

Caio Borralho Looking for a Big Leap Forward

Caio Borralho is 12^th in the UFC Middleweight Rankings, but if he beats the No. 5 Cannonier, you can bet that he’s gonna move up. Judging by the UFC on ESPN 62 odds, it’s likely that he’s going to succeed.

He’s 16-1-1 overall with a 6-0 record since joining the UFC two years ago. This year, he’s already fought once, beating grappling expert Paul Craig by KO. He also has experience fighting elite strikers such as Cannonier.

So far in his UFC career, he fought and defeated striking experts Michal Oleksiejczuk and Armen Petrosyan. What’s interesting is that he out-wrestled both of them. He landed four takedowns against Petrosyan, which was enough for the judges to score in his favor. Against Oleksiejczuk, he landed three TDs before finishing the Polish fighter by submission.
