IGT’s PlaySports Set to Power Maverick’s Colorado Casinos

Sports betting technology supplier International Game Technology (IGT) announced a multi-year agreement with Maverick Gaming. According to the terms of the deal, the three Maverick Gaming casinos in Colorado will have sports betting operations powered by IGT’s PlaySports leading platform.

PlaySports Roll Out at Maverick’s Casinos

The agreement will allow IGT to provide its turnkey PlaySports solution paired with user-friendly self-service PlaySports kiosks to Grand Z and Johnny Z’s casinos in Central City and to Z Casino in Black Hawk. The PlaySports platform and a fully integrated Player Account Management (PAM) will also be utilized by Maverick Gaming’s mobile sports wagering app, Play Maverick Sports.

The announcement did not specify any detail regarding the timing of the rollout of the PlaySports platform and self-servicing kiosks solution or the financial aspects of the deal which is set to power retail and mobile sports betting for the three casinos Maverick Gaming acquired in December 2019.

IGT Expands Its US Footprint

For IGT, the new agreement is just another step towards expanding the company’s footprint across the US. In October, IGT teamed up with the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota, to roll out the PlaySports wagering solution to the tribe’s two casinos, Grand Treasure Casino in Trenton and Sky Dancer Casino and Resort in Belcourt.

Recently, the sports betting solutions provider released its Sustainability Report for 2019, outlining its efforts to support the industry, the communities and the environment, and showing it generated $4.84 billion of direct economic value for the year.
