Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has tapped online casino veteran Kevin Norville as its new chief people officer. He will bring important experience to the team and will be tasked with overseeing the company’s overall human resources strategy.

GiG Adds HR Powerhouse to C-Suite

As mentioned, Norville is no stranger to the online gaming industry. His prior experience has seen him work for the likes of PressEnter Group, where he was chief people officer between September 2020 and February 2022, and SiGMA, one of the biggest iGaming conventions in the world. Norville served SiGMA as interim people officer for almost a year between 2019 and 2020.

Norville’s impressive career also includes major eCommerce roles. His most recent position was at Autofulfil Limited, which he served as head of people & culture. During that time, he was focused on talent acquisition, management and company culture.

In addition to his latest stints with companies like Autofulfil, Invenda and Weare1Kind, Norville spent over 5 years as a self-employed HR consultant.

Overall, GiG’s latest hire is a human resources powerhouse whose HR expertise is highlighted by the multiple HR-related roles in his track record. As such, he has the right experience to oversee GiG’s HR matters ahead of the company’s planned strategic split.

Norville’s appointment comes several days after Andreas Söneby was designated as one of the new members of GiG Platform’s board of directors. Earlier this year, GiG’s Gentoo Media division appointed Christian Uhrenholt as its new chief financial officer.

GiG’s Strategic Split into GiG Platform and Gentoo Media Looms

In the meantime, GiG is preparing to split into two separate businesses. This historic move was announced months ago and will result in the transformation of GiG Platform and Gentoo Media (formerly GiG Media) into two separate entities.

Two weeks ago, GiG published its financial report for the second quarter of the year. The company’s financials highlighted strong performance from Gentoo Media amid mixed results from GiG Platform.

Gentoo Media, which recently adopted a new brand identity, posted record-breaking financials, heralding an optimistic future for the division.
