France Looking Unstoppable in 2024
The French national Olympic soccer team has all won since the start of the 2024 Games, which are taking place on their turf. They won every single game of the group stage without conceding a single goal.
The best thing is that their road to the knockouts wasn’t easy. In the first round, they played against the USMNT, which many thought of as a potential dark horse. But France beat them anyway with 3:0 on the scoreboard. The French also beat Guinea 1:0 and New Zealand 3:0.
Now, they’re facing their toughest challenge so far, but based on how impressive they’ve been so far, they’ve got nothing to worry about. Thierry Henry’s men have been working great as a collective, looking strong defensively and creating plenty of dangerous attacks in every match.
The fact that seven different players scored France’s seven goals in the group stage of the Olympics shows that Henry has plenty of weapons in his arsenal.
Argentina’s Players Keep Improving Their Form
In the first round, Argentina lost to Morocco 2:1 in a very strange game that was delayed due to fan trouble and VAR problems. In the second round of the Olympic soccer tournament, they beat Iraq 3:1, while in the final round of the group stage, they did better than Ukraine, winning the game 2:0.
They finished second in the group, the result of which is that they now are facing the winner of another group, which in this case is France. Given that Argentina’s defense hasn’t been great, they need to fear France.
On the bright side, led by Thiago Almada, Giuliano Simeone, and Julian Alvarez, Argentina’s offense looks lethal.
France vs. Argentina Prediction
Our prediction is that France vs. Argentina is going to be a real banger with plenty of goals. In fact, we believe that had it not been for Argentina’s loss to Morocco in the first round, these two would’ve met in the final of the 2024 Olympics. This way, only one of them can get there, so who will it be? Our pick is France.
Pick: France & Over 2.5 Goals
