Esports Technologies Works on New Esports Predictive Model

A new quantitative analyst team will work at Esports Technologies to build even more powerful predictive models for esports.

Building the Future of Esports Betting Predictive Models

Esports Technologies Inc. continues to bring innovation to the world of esports and traditional sports gambling. As the leading provider of esports wagering products, the company has now created a new dedicated quantitative analyst team that will continue to advance the depth of its offer and allow partners to benefit from more accurate predictive gaming models tapping into consolidated data feeds.

The NASDAQ-listed company believes that it can create an even stronger software suite that allows it to push the wagering solutions it offers to B2B customers to drive further revenue and greater adoption of the technology.

To spearhead this quantitative solution, Esports Technologies has tapped its former director of research and technology, Jason Finch, who is now stepping in as chief technology officer. Finch is a well-seasoned professional who has a vast knowledge of different trading and betting models and has worked extensively in the industry.

Hiring the Right People to Push Esports Technologies’ Offer

Finch is bringing other talented experts to help Esports Technologies push the reach and depth of its product, including Brad Cole, an applied mathematician who specializes in pricing models for esports wagering and competitor talent evaluation. Dr. Stephan Roberts and Dr. Da Xu are two other valuable assets to the team as they bring senior experience in statistics, the recognition of complex patterns, and machine learning, to name a few.

Dr. Jonathan Pearce is another valuable asset to the team as he focuses on numeric methods, data mining, and the calculation of probabilities. The appointment of the new team members has been welcomed by Esports Technologies COO Bart Barden, who said that the new additions would accelerate the company’s ability to provide bonafide solutions and enhance the esports wagering experience for existing and new partners.

Esports Technologies recently secured a patent for live streaming betting for gaming and traditional sports. The company has been expanding the list of supported esports titles, focusing primarily on the mainstay ones, such as League of Legends, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Expansion is Pivotal for Esports Technologies

Esports Technologies has been expanding the reach of its product portfolio, adding new titles, including Rocket League, Valorant and others. The company launched a dedicated app on the Apple Store in May.

“Esports Games” hosts a variety of trivia contests and predictions about the outcomes of various esports competitions. Esports Technologies is quickly positioning as the go-to technological solution for the esports market.

It’s facing competition from companies that are building their proprietary technology, including Luckbox and Rivalry, which are two esports-centric sportsbooks. Yet, Esports Technologies believes it can leverage a successful product that others cannot quite match.
