Dominik Nitsche Wins Biggest ACR Poker Event, Walks Away with $1.8M

The largest Venom online tournament hosted by Americas Cardroom has saw the player known for his handle “Texxassss” win $1.8 million

The $12.5 million event has gathered a record level of participation and saw several players walk away from the online tables millionaires. Second place was claimed by player PushOrdie who won $1.3 million, and third place was claimed by Anzuelitico who won $1 million from the event.

A total of nine players made it into the final table, with RiverRiot72 taking the smallest chunk of the shared prize pool at $148,600. The table was played earlier this week, with Dominik Nitsche, who hails from Germany, and resides in Scotland, crowned the champion.

He went up against some pretty tough opponents, including WSOP 2023 Player of the Year Ina Matakis and ACR’s own Chris Moneymaker, one of the game’s true legends.

“Obviously feeling amazing right now. Not too hungover anymore as well now finally. It almost doesn’t feel real. I was playing the Venom from my hotel room in Monaco after I had made day 2 on the very first flight,” Nitsche said commenting on securing the win at the final table.

Hosting One of the Biggest Poker Get-Togethers

Moneymaker was similarly excited, calling the event great and his chance to make it to the final table “a blessing.” Americas Cardroom habitually attracts some serious and high-calibre players who are happy to participate in the online events hosted by the platform.

Popular ACR pros include Chris Moorman, Jon Pardy, Jeff Boski, Monika Zukowic, and Moneymaker, himself, all of whom partook in the latest Venom event. The event itself saw 5,000 entrants and $12,616,500 in the guaranteed prize pool, the largest on the company’s record.

Starting on May 5 through May 27, the cardroom is also kicking off the Online Super Series XL. Some of the biggest opportunities for players will include multi-million-dollar tournaments, with the highest prize on offer at $2.5 million.
