Deloitte, WSJ Award Seminole Hard Rock Best Managed Company

The prestigious entertainment and hospitality mark of excellence was awarded to Hard Rock International’s brand

Deloitte and The Wall Street Journal have been issuing the honor to companies that have revenues of at least $250 million every year. Hundreds of private companies from around the globe are competing and are subject to a rigorous testing process that evaluates each of them across four key components, part of their management skill and practices, such as strategy, execution, culture, and a pan-category that includes both governance and financials.

Seminole Hard Rock Wins the Distinction Three Years in a Row

The Seminole Hard Rock has been distinguished with the 2023 US Best Managed Company which is one of the highest benchmarks a company can achieve. This is not a first for the company, which in 2021 became the first privately-owned gaming giant to earn the distinction, followed by a back-to-back win in 2022. This is the third consecutive year in which the company has won the silverware. Commenting on what this meant, Hard Rock International chairman Jim Allen, who is also the chief executive officer of Seminole Gaming said:

We are honored to be recognized three years in a row. We strive to provide the best working environment for all of our team members, which leads to exceptional experiences for all our guests.

The company is honored to share the mark of excellence which puts it head and shoulders above many rivals and demonstrates the company and brand dedication towards providing exceptional experiences to its customers. Hard Rock International is one of the best-known brands around the world, with more than 290 locations and a presence in more than 70 countries.

Seminole Gaming in the meantime manages six casinos in Florida on behalf of the Seminole Tribe Florida. These properties include iconic venues such as the Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Tampa and Hollywood. The Seminole Tribe is also the first tribe in North America to open a high-stakes bingo hall and casino, going back to 1979 and making clever use of the tribe’s sovereignty over its own land and ability to introduce gaming operations.

Despite the celebratory moment, Allen has been known to outline the challenges ahead of the gaming and hospitality sector with sobering pragmatism. He recently spoke about what he sees as a period of uncertainty for the sector in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
