DAZN Enhances App with the Addition of Live Scores
DAZN described Scores as a powerful soccer stats engine that will be free and easy to use
DAZN, a British over-the-top sports streaming and entertainment platform, has forayed into live scoring with the launch of a new live scores solution. The new addition to DAZN’s portfolio will reportedly feature live scores from over a thousand soccer competitions.
DAZN Launches Scores
DAZN announced the launch of Scores, its new live scores solution, which was described as a powerful soccer stats engine. According to the company, the new platform will feature live scores updates from many soccer competitions, ensuring a boost to customer loyalty and retention.
Scores will initially focus on soccer, although DAZN didn’t rule out adding additional sports in the future.
Like other similar products out there, Scores has been designed with convenience in mind. Because of that, it will sport a search function that allows customers to find their favorite clubs and competitions. Additionally, sports aficionados can set alerts for key points of the game, allowing them to never miss important developments in their favorite games.
In order to ensure Scores is accessible to a broader community of fans, DAZN has added options in multiple languages. To make things even better, the new scores platform has been integrated into the broader DAZN platform, making it free and easily accessible for existing users.
DAZN Remains Committed to Keeping Its Platform Updated
The launch of scores underscores DAZN’s intention to keep the media platform updated and continuously engaging. Shay Segev, the company’s chief executive officer, called the launch an important part of the company’s journey to become “the ultimate sports entertainment platform.”
By offering this product to all registered users for free, DAZN is increasing fans’ access to sport, while creating greater opportunities to drive sports fans’ engagement with the platform.
Shay Segev, CEO, DAZN
Segev continued, saying that Scores’ launch represents a “strategic addition” to the overall DAZN ecosystem of content, products and services. He promised that the new live scores platform will provide fans with great experiences and enhanced discoverability of the content they care about.
DAZN Acquired Foxtel
In other DAZN-related news, the company recently announced the completion of its acquisition of Foxtel Group, Australia’s leading, next-generation subscription television company. According to DAZN officials, this major M&A deal marked a significant milestone in the media platform’s expansion into the Australian market.
Under DAZN’s leadership, Foxtel will remain an Australian-based business that will continue to distribute content tailored to local audiences’ preferences. However, as part of DAZN, it will also benefit from the media giant’s leading tech platform and experience in innovation.
According to the official announcement, the integration of Foxtel into DAZN will be phased, ensuring a seamless transition for everyone involved.
