Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov UFC 310 Odds, Time, and Prediction
Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov is a clash between two heavyweight giants that will take place at T-Mobile Arena on December 7 as one of the UFC 310 fights
Cyril Gane is No. 2 in the UFC Heavyweight Rankings, and on Saturday, December 7, he’s fighting against the No. 3 fighter, Alexander Volkov.
The Frenchman wants to make himself relevant and possibly even get another shot at the UFC Heavyweight title in the future. For that to happen, he needs to beat the 6’7 Russian, who’s looking for his fifth straight win.
Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov Odds
Moneyline | Odds |

Alexander Volkov | +285 |
When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: T-Mobile Arena in Paradise (Las Vegas), Nevada
- Date: Saturday, December 7, 2024
- Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: PPV
Cyril Gane’s Odds Suggest He’s Going to Win
Cyril Gane is one of the best strikers in the heavyweight division. He’s a Muay Thai expert who’s big and strong but moves incredibly fast. The Frenchman is 12-2 overall, with 50% of wins happening by knockout/technical knockout.
His Achilles Heel is wrestling/grappling, which is what Francis Ngannou took advantage of in 2022, when they fought for the title. After failing to win the striking battle against Gane, “The Predator” switched to wrestling, which resulted in a win by decision.
Gane’s grappling failed him in his second UFC Heavyweight title fight. This happened in 2023 when Jon Jones beat him by submission after only 124 seconds.
However, he did really well against Serghei Spivac last August. “Polar Bear,” who’s famous for his takedown skills (4.63 TDs per fight), failed to take Gane down.
Instead, “Bon Gamin” destroyed him with his striking, landing 109 punches and kicks while absorbing just 11 significant strikes. Will the same happen in the UFC 310 fight with Volkov?
Alexander Volkov to Try and Out-Strike Gane
Alexander Volkov is three inches taller than Gane but has a one-inch shorter reach. That said, his size might not be too much of an advantage in the November 7 fight. But he does have plenty of reasons to feel good about his chances.
He’s a hell of a striker, with decent wrestling and grappling. He used his BJJ skills to defeat Tai Tuivasa last year. Volkov beat him by a submission (Ezekiel choke) in the second round.
His boxing skills helped him beat Sergei Pavlovich, a guy who’s one of the fighters with the highest number of significant strikes landed per minute. Volkov beat him at his own game, landing almost two times as many strikes as Pavlovich.
Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov UFC 310 Prediction
This is going to be a hell of a fight, but we think Cyril Gane will triumph in the end. It’s very likely this is going to be a kickboxing battle, and that’s exactly what Gane excels at.
Pick: Cyril Gane
