Continent 8 Names Ex-Google Executive Phillips as VP of Network

His job will be to make sure that Continent 8 continues to be the leading provider of secure, high speed and low-latency connectivity to the iGaming industry

Continent 8 Technologies announced that it has welcomed the experienced Dave Phillips as its new vice president of network. The new appointee will leverage his experience to reinforce the products and services the company provides to the iGaming industry.

Phillips joins the Continent 8 Technologies amid the company’s rapid global expansion. As someone with years of experience in engineering, operation, delivery and product-related roles, he will help the company oversee its global network.

As VP of network, Phillips will be responsible for Continent 8’s 100+ locations across four continents. For reference, the company also has a presence in 30 US states and is keen on making forays into further NA jurisdictions.

As a part of Continent 8, Phillips, a former Google employee, will lead a global team of networking specialists, located in offices in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Singapore and India. His job will be to make sure that Continent 8 continues to be the leading provider of secure, high speed and low-latency connectivity to the iGaming industry.

Phillips Will Help Continent 8 Remain a Leader for Years to Come

Dave Phillips commented on his new appointment, saying that he is thrilled to join the company. He said that Continent 8 Technologies’ connected network is the backbone of the iGaming industry, praising its infrastructure capabilities.

Phillips was welcomed on board by Edward O’Connor, the company’s chief technology officer. O’Connor applauded the new hire’s experience in network tech, praising his “incredible amount of Internet industry experience.” According to the CTO, the 15 years Phillips spent at Google provided him with all the necessary skills to help Continent 8 retain its leadership position.
