Barron Fuller, regional president of Caesars Entertainment, expressed pride in the new project, highlighting its potential to enhance the local economy

Excitement grows as Caesars Virginia gets ready to welcome guests on December 12, 2024, at 12 p.m. This big step will boost Southern Virginia’s hospitality and gaming scene, thrilling locals and tourists.

Caesars Virginia Brings 90,000 Sq. Ft. of Gaming and 320-Room Luxury Hotel to Danville

The massive 587,000-square-foot casino resort has over 90,000 square feet for gaming. Visitors can enjoy almost 1,500 cutting-edge slot machines, 79 live table games, 48 electronic tables, a World Series of Poker (WSOP™) room, and a Caesars Sportsbook. Besides the gambling options, the place offers a 320-room hotel tower with sweeping views of Danville, including the well-known “Three Sisters” smokestacks.

Barron Fuller, regional president of Caesars Entertainment, took pride in the new project pointing out its ability to boost the area’s economy. Fuller stressed the thorough work that went into creating a first-class destination. This aligns with Caesars’ name for luxury and helps create jobs and draw visitors to the area.

Caesars Virginia shows a big investment in the city backed by teamwork with EBCI Holdings and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Chris Albrecht, senior vice president and general manager of the resort, said that hiring has gone well, with plans to fill over 1,200 jobs by the time the place opens. This growth builds on the first 400 workers who started when the temporary Danville Casino opened in May 2023.

Albrecht pointed out their dedication to keeping top-notch service through local training programs and ongoing work with the community. This plan is part of a bigger aim to give guests Caesars’ special “Family Style Service,” making sure people have great times at the resort.

Caesars Virginia to Feature 2,500-Seat Venue, Ramsay’s Kitchen, and Luxurious Amenities

The Caesars Virginia resort offers more than just gambling. It has 50,000 square feet of space to hold meetings and events. This area can also turn into a venue that seats 2,500 people for shows. Food lovers can look forward to eating at Ramsay’s Kitchen run by the famous chef Gordon Ramsay. There is also the 500 Block Food Hall, which local restaurant owners Rick Barker and Steve Parry helped create. The resort also has a spa, a pool, and several bars and places to relax.

Michell Hicks, who leads the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians as principal chief, commented: “The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is proud to be a part of this exciting new chapter, as this resort represents an impressive investment in hospitality and entertainment. We look forward to building stronger ties within the region and seeing the positive impact Caesars Virginia will have, providing opportunities and experiences that honor the unique spirit and diversity of this area.”

Since it opened, the temporary Danville Casino has had an impact on the city and the Commonwealth of Virginia bringing in over $66 million in gaming tax revenue. The new permanent resort is likely to boost these economic gains even more.
