BetMGM and PGA Tour Extend Collaboration through 2024

The PGA Tour and BetMGM will extend their joint partnership through 2024, featuring marketing and content opportunities and building upon their official alliance. As a result, BetMGM will continue to be an official betting operator for the PGA Tour.

BetMGM Set up to Benefit from Renewed Partnership

The Tour digital platform will empower golf fans to get direct access to actionable information about betting delivered by BetMGM. The company will work on providing real-time data that will allow insight into what the best bets are and on what players. PGA Tour SVP of media and gaming Norb Gambuzza welcomed the partnership:

“We look forward to working with BetMGM to integrate its advanced betting technologies for PGA Tour fans on our digital platforms.”

Gambuzza recognized the contributions BetMGM has made towards PGA Tour players and tournaments. BetMGM has been delivering on sports betting options in multiple jurisdictions across the United States in both retail and mobile format.

BetMGM CRO Matt Prevost argued that the partnership with PGA Tour is an important alliance in sports for the company. Prevost confirmed that the partnership between the companies has been sufficient to stoke interest in the sport among bettors who have been investing more time and effort in golf, as reflected by the total gambling handle reported by BetMGM on golf.

The present partnership will extend on the well-established formula where sports betting operators and sports bodies exchange rights to IP use and pivot their joint collaboration across a number of media, including social channels and physical channels.

PGA Tour Already Well-Versed in Betting

Content and video rights will help the BetMGM Sportsbook spearhead its own brand presence and boost awareness for golfing events. BetMGM is already represented better in golf through several partnerships with PGA Tour personalities, including Max Homa, Joel Dahmen, Pat Perez, Ryan Moore, Kevin Na, and more.

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour has been involved with multiple sports betting operators. This includes a collaboration with PointsBet for a F2P game that was extended earlier this year in October. BetMGM is not the only officially recognized official betting operator for the Tour. DraftKings was added as a recognized partner in July.
