APT Grows Presence with New Stops on 2023 Calendar

One of Asia’s most prominent poker events continues to expand as the Asian Poker Tour has announced new stops on its schedule this year

The organization is ramping up the number of events that it will feature on this year’s calendar, with so far six confirmed tournaments. The new events will be hosted in Vietnam and South Korea, offering local and regional players a chance to join and compete in one of the most significant and important events of the year in the region.

The APT Summer Series Hanoi at Grand Loyal Poker Club in Vietnam will be held from May 26 through June 4, offering lots of opportunities to players who are looking to try their hand at a hefty field of competitors and a hefty prize purse. Another event is also going to follow up on that in Vietnam with the APT Summer Series Da Nang at Furama Resort then running from July 21 through July 30.

The APT Incheon at Paradise City in South Korea will be running in August, from August 25 through September 3. There have been other changes to the calendar, however.

Adding More Destinations for More Poker Action

The APT Ho Chi Minh 2023 will have to go, due to regulatory headwinds that the APT had to address promptly. APT president Neil Johnson said that the organization has enjoyed a very strong interest in Vietnam:

Last year the APT had a tremendous summer in Vietnam with a double stop in Hanoi and a tremendous event in Ho Chi Minh City.

The APT continues to be a fixture in Asia, and the event’s status has been increasing over the past years. The event was founded in 2006 by Capital Events Pte, a Singapore-based company. Later, the company was acquired by AsianLogic.

The APT holds Main Events in several countries and jurisdictions, including Manila, Philippines, and Macau, China. The latest event on the calendar is the Asian Poker Tour Taipei held on April 28 and running through May 7, 2023.
