Westgate Las Vegas Celebrates Day of the Dead with New Themed Suite

The centerpiece of the suite is a beautiful ofrenda – an offering altar typically used in Mexican traditions to show respect for the legacy of those who have passed away

Westgate Las Vegas, an off-Strip casino resort in Sin City, has unveiled a new offering ahead of the autumn festivities. Visitors to the property will be able to enjoy a Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead-themed suite at the hotel, which will provide guests with an atmospheric experience just in time for the celebrations.

The Room Honors Mexico’s Cultural Heritage

Westgate Vegas shared a short overview of the guest room, showcasing a bright and colorful Mexico-inspired interior.  Featuring patterned furniture, embroidered cushions, a highly decorated sink, multiple dashing paintings and many sugar skulls, the suite is designed to make guests feel like they are celebrating in Mexico. Marigold flowers are also prominently featured across the suite.

Guests will find tastefully appointed color and comfort at every turn including an expansive sugar skull display crafted and curated by our own Westgate team!

Westgate statement

The centerpiece of the suite is a beautiful ofrenda – an offering altar typically used in Mexican traditions to show respect for the respect for the legacy of those who have passed away.

The suite features a single bedroom and two bathrooms. In addition, guests can enjoy a wet bar and floor-to-ceiling windows facing toward the sunrise.

Dia de los Muertos is traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. The holiday is all about showing respect to loved ones who have passed away and honoring their memory.

The best part about the room, however, is that it will be available all year round, according to Westgate’s official announcement.

A Great Addition to Westgate’s Portfolio

Dawn Rawle, Westgate’s vice president of marketing, commented on the launch of the new suite, saying that it aims to honor the rich traditions of Mexico while providing guests with an unforgettable and luxurious experience.

Rawle added that Westgate remains committed to introducing themed suites that differentiate it from its competition. For context, the property offers several such high-roller suites with various themes. Some of those are based on various holidays, such as Christmas and Halloween. Other rooms are based on more general themes, such as the “I Do” wedding-themed suite, the Cowboy Room, the Flower Room, the Plaid Suite and the Celebrity Club Suite.

The Day of the Dead suite is a great new addition to this lineup and comes just in time for the holidays.
