SharpLink CEO Phythian believes that his team’s growth plan will continue with a new focus on crypto gaming, potentially positioning the company as a future leader in the space

SharpLink Gaming, a provider of online marketing to the iGaming and sports betting industries, announced that it has secured a stake in Armchair Enterprises Limited, the owner and operator of CryptoCasino.com.
This investment, according to SharpLink Gaming, is in line with its ambition to expand into the lucrative cryptocurrency gaming market.
SharpLink Makes a Foray into Crypto Gaming
Per the announcement, SharpLink has secured a 10% stake in Armchair Enterprises. The marketing specialist said that the acquisition cost it $500,000 in cash along with a right of first refusal to acquire a controlling interest in Armchair.
CryptoCasino is a fairly new player in the fast-growing crypto gaming sector. The platform was launched in October 2024 and has quickly minted partnerships with many of the world’s leading gaming studios. While still growing, the company seeks to expand its portfolio to 6K+ slots. Fans can also look forward to playing a variety of table and live dealer games. Sports aficionados can also use crypto to place wagers on their favorite sporting events.
As its name suggests, CryptoCasino leverages blockchain tech to provide players with unforgettable and transparent next-gen gaming experiences. The casino currently accepts a wide range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, among many others. Players can also connect wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet to make speedy deposits and withdrawals.
CryptoCasino also boasts a Telegram Casino integration, allowing Telegram users to register and play right away.
The Company’s Leadership Explored Various Growth Opportunities
As mentioned, SharpLink is optimistic about the acquisition of a 10% stake in CryptoCasino. After careful consideration, the company was convinced that this expansion would be beneficial to both its business and shareholders.
SharpLink noted that experts predict that the online gaming market will reach $158.20 billion by 2028. They also believe that blockchain technologies will remain an integral part of the industry and will continue to experience steady growth.
SharpLink is therefore looking to position itself among the pioneers in crypto gaming as the vertical expands.
SharpLink Seeks to Become Future Leader in Crypto Gaming
SharpLink’s chief executive officer and chair, Rob Phythian, said that the decision to make a foray into crypto gaming comes after significant efforts to identify the best growth opportunities for the company. He said that his team seeks to leverage its existing business and industry relationships to “achieve deeper and more lucrative penetration into the digital gaming and sports betting markets.”
Phythian believes that his team’s growth plan will continue with a new focus on crypto gaming, potentially positioning the company as a future leader in the space.
Phythian concluded: “We are actively advancing our efforts to acquire control of Armchair Enterprises and CryptoCasino.com as efficiently and timely as possible, and we are squarely focused on continued execution of our expansion strategy. As we progress through 2025, we look forward to sharing further details about our exciting plans and future goals.”
