Rush Street Interactive Unveils Partnership with Poker Legend Phil Hellmuth
Hellmuth will serve as a brand ambassador for RSI's BetRivers brand and contribute to content creation
Rush Street Interactive (RSI), which owns BetRivers, has teamed up with Phil Hellmuth, a big name in professional poker.
Phil Hellmuth Brings Poker Magic to BetRivers, Spanning Casino, Sportsbook, and Poker Offerings
The company shared this news on January 13, 2025. Hellmuth will now act as a face for the brand and help create content. He is famous for his record 17 World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and his lively personality. In his new job, Hellmuth will be part of many BetRivers activities, both online and in real life.
The deal with Hellmuth means he will play a part in many areas such as BetRivers’ online casino, sportsbook, and poker sections. You will also see him in media productions like the BetRivers Network and the long-running Poker Night in America show. This team-up aims to give players a mix of fun and one-of-a-kind gaming opportunities, making the most of Hellmuth’s know-how and fame.
As part of his job, Hellmuth will connect with players through themed events and promotions on BetRivers’ digital platforms.
He plans to host live casino dealer sessions, run interactive poker games, and give sports betting commentary. Hellmuth will also lead in-person and online VIP tournaments giving players chances to play with and learn from the poker star. On top of that, he will show up at land-based events hosted by BetRivers‘ casino partners, including Rivers Casino and Little River Casino, to create lasting memories for guests.
Hellmuth’s Enthusiasm Set to Elevate BetRivers Programming
Hellmuth‘s work with the BetRivers Network will boost the appeal of its shows. When he shows up on Poker Night in America and other programs, he is likely to attract both die-hard poker fans and casual viewers. Also, Hellmuth’s role will help the newly launched BetRivers Poker platform, which came about after RSI bought Phil Galfond‘s Run It Once Poker.
Commenting on the team-up, RSI CEO Richard Schwartz pointed out Hellmuth‘s knack for making the game more fun with his enthusiasm and winning personality. He said Hellmuth’s input across different channels would bring thrills and standout moments to BetRivers’ users.
Hellmuth showed excitement about this new venture and said: “Ever since meeting the Rush Street Interactive executive team in 2012, I have been a fan. I have been impressed with RSI’s moxie, will, and determination to build a beautiful product — an online gaming experience that people love to use and play on.” Despite all these superlatives about the company, back in August, Hellmuth sold all his shares in RSI.
Helmuth shared on social media that he did this because he worried about overpriced markets and the overall economy. Hellmuth’s sell-off happened at the same time as RSI’s unpopular choice to stop its affiliate program in some states. This move upset many in the industry. Hellmuth made $1.65 million from the sale, which meant he got back much more than he first put in.
