PokerStars Makes Vegas Infinite Available for PlayStation5

Flutter Entertainment-owned PokerStars has announced the exciting launch of its social casino video game Vegas Infinite on PlayStation5.

The news comes just over one year after the console game was successfully introduced to PlayStation VR2 players, enabling them to use virtual money to engage in slots, table games, and poker titles against real-life opponents and the computer.

Originally, the game that promises a world of entertainment with zero limits was launched under the name PokerStars VR in 2018 for mobile and PC users and it was rebranded last September. 

Vegas Infinite, “Absolutely Thrilled” for the Launch 

“The team is absolutely thrilled to reveal that Vegas Infinite has arrived on PS5! You heard right,” the Vegas Infinite by PokerStars announcement reads on its official website. 

Players will be able to jump straight into the “high-rolling, hot-shooting, stake-raising world of Vegas Infinite for free,” accompanied by friends, anytime they desire and without having to worry about using a VR headset. 

Introduced as a game brought to players “by the biggest names in the business,” Vegas Infinite enables gamers to play their favorite casino games with the help of DualSense wireless controllers. 

The gaming options range from cash and tournament poker, blackjack, and roulette, to a large number of versatile slot options and craps alternatives catering to every need. 

Available for free download, Vegas Infinite welcomes new players with thousands of free chips. Even more free chips can be redeemed every eighth hours via the dedicated free spin wheel.

Stunning 4K Graphics and Ultra-Smooth 60fps Gameplay

Discussing the launch, PokerStars’ director of disruptive innovation, James O’Reilly, explained the game will be given access to a new audience. 

O’Reilley also mentioned PokerStars’ collaboration with Lucky VR for the optimization of the game for console players, a decision which he thinks would prove the “depth and vibrancy of our environments.”

Players can compete against or join fellow peers worldwide by setting up private games and challenging them in PokerStars Casino One while enjoying the immersive environments with stunning 4K graphics and chatting with them in real-time just like they would do in the real world. 

They can also hit the jackpot in Galaxy Space Station, Showdown Saloon, or a Monte Carlo Yacht, the otherworldly environments that feature ultra-smooth 60fps gameplay and mesmerizing graphics. 

“We’ve worked tirelessly to take advantage of the PS5’s powerful hardware to deliver an unreal entertainment experience,” added PokerStars.

With hundreds of customizable props, accessories, and apparel that allow players to make their mark and add “a little magic at the tables,” Vegas Infinite allows full immersion in its “vibrant, high-stakes universe.” 

In June, Flutter was recognized in TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies 2024 list before receiving confirmation for its shift to a NYSE listing.
