The Minnesota Timberwolves are the NBA’s best defense in the 2023-24 season, allowing only 106.3 points per game. The bad news for them is that on March 29, they’re playing against one of the league’s highest-scoring teams, the Denver Nuggets.

These guys are scoring 114.6 points per game on average, which isn’t too impressive. However, their PPG in home games is 118.4.

Minnesota Timberwolves Hoping to Finally Beat Nuggets in Denver

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost each of their last five trips to Ball Arena in Denver. The last time it happened; however, they came close to winning but the Nuggets beat them by three points in the end.

It happened during last season’s playoffs and since then, the Timberwolves haven’t traveled to Colorado. They did, however, play 37 games on the road in the 2023-24 season, winning 24 of those, which makes them the best away team in the Western Conference.

Plus, they won each of their last three away games. One against the Clippers in Los Angeles and two against the Jazz in Salt Lake City.

Denver Nuggets Want to Bounce Back to the Winning Track

On Wednesday evening, the Phoenix Suns ended Denver’s brilliant NBA run of four wins in a row. The game was played at Ball Arena, which is where the Nuggets are 29-7 this season, which is the best home record in the Western Conference.

The reason why they lost that game is that their players just weren’t very inspired on the offense. They scored just 97 points in total, which is their worst offensive performance since early February. It’s also their worst offensive performance at home since December.

Denver’s scoring leader Nikola Jokic scored 22 points that evening, while their second-best scorer Jamal Murray missed the game due to an injury. As things currently stand, he will probably make his comeback against the Timberwolves, but we probably won’t see him spend too much time on the court.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction

We think the time has finally come for the Timberwolves to beat the Nuggets in Denver. The boys from Minnesota are in top shape right now, with practically all of their key men being 100% fit, which isn’t the case with their opponents.

Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves
