MGCB Authorizes Parx Interactive to Launch Sports Betting
Parx Interactive, a digital gaming and betting brand of Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., is set to expand its presence in Michigan after a regulatory approval today allowed the brand and its partner to launch online sports betting.
14th Fully Authorized State Operator
The approval for the launch of online sports wagering for Parx Interactive and the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians of Michigan issued by the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) expands on the brand’s offering, adding sports betting to online casino gaming.
“With Gun Lake Casino now fully authorized, 14 current Michigan operators and their platform providers may offer both internet casino gaming and online sports betting to patrons. The associated revenue payments will support responsible gaming, the First Responder Presumed Coverage Fund, K-12 education and economic development.”
Henry Williams, Executive Director, MGCB
The approval made the tribe’s Gun Lake Casino the 14th fully authorized for iGaming and online sports betting in the state. Parx Interactive and its tribal partner were already approved for online casino gaming by the MGCB in April.
Sports Betting Options Expand iGaming Offering
Powered by the IMS platform and Player Account Management (PAM) solution, Play Gun Lake features proprietary iGaming content supplied by Playtech, after a commercial deal between the gaming technology provider, Parx Interactive, and Gun Lake Casino was signed in February.
The agreement also features opportunities for the parties to roll out additional products not only in Michigan, but in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and other regulated US jurisdictions.
By the end of last month, Michigan saw another partnership related to Gun Lake Casino and Parx Interactive after the online gaming brand teamed with Paysafe to expand payment options for online casino players in the Great Lakes State.
The specialized payment provider integration into Play Gun Lake payment options allowed players to choose between an automated clearing house (ACH) electronic payment transfer, a standard option for businesses and consumers in the country, and a digital wallet like Skrill for withdrawals.
Integrated via Playtech’s Information Management Solution (IMS) platform, Paysafe’s payment technology also made it easier for customers to use their debit and credit cards to make friction-less deposits, while players willing to use cash can utilize Paysafe’s Paysafecard eCash solution.
Paysafe also allowed Parx Interactive to monitor the Play Gun Lake app’s transactions via Paysafe’s Analyze and Business Portal back-end function.
