Mansion Group to Shut Down MansionBet Brand, Focus on Casino

Mansion Group will be redoubling its efforts on iGaming content and products while suspending its operations in the sports betting vertical. Moving forward, the brand will only run casino brands and will completely withdraw from any sportsbook operations it currently runs, including its flagship product MansionBet.

Focusing on Casino Brands and Away from Sports Betting

The website will close down on March 31 and moving forward, the Mansion Group will no longer support the sports betting vertical. This comes amid a detailed and careful competitive assessment of the market conditions in the United Kingdom where MansionBet currently operates, although the brand has a few operations in Europe as well.

Mansion Group is one of the oldest entrants in the market and has ample experience running in numerous verticals. The decision does not come lightly after 18 years on the job, but it reflects the company’s willingness to adapt and focus on the aspects of its experience that it does best.

While sports betting has proven a particularly challenging aspect against the likes of Bet365, Betfred, William Hill, and others, the Mansion Group casino brands have in the meantime thrived. Players will be able to access all the signature brands by Mansion Group, including the namesake MansionCasino, Slots Heaven, and Casino.com.

All of these iGaming websites are about to get even more attention and innovate their appearance, customer engagement, and general business model to accommodate more players from the United Kingdom. Speaking on this difficult decision, Mansion Group CEO Christian Block said:

“After careful deliberation, we have decided to cease trading our MansionBet brand. The commercial decision was a difficult one, but it does provide opportunity to focus on our casino brands, where we have a long history of excelling.”

Mansion Group wants to guarantee a smooth transition and will therefore continue to pay any future winnings until every wager placed with the MansionBet platform has been settled or annulled due to the deadline.

Players Have Time to Cash Out and Settle Their Bets

Block thanked his team for working so hard to make the MansionBet brand a flagship brand in the UK market and said that the Group would pay out its last wagers on April 28, 2023, giving anyone with an active selection ample time to realize those bets.

However, withdrawals of current bankroll balances must be done by March 31, 2022, the Mansion Group explained. This news is not only going to impact fans of the brands, as MansionBet is also a sponsor to Bristol City FC which has been working together for the past several years. The team will no longer be the brand’s principal partner as of March 31, but it will continue to sport Mansion branding until the end of the season.

Last October, MansionCasino managed to expand its operations in the Spanish market, as the company is looking to set up shop in new jurisdictions beyond the United Kingdom. However, it has also been looking to establish new operations in highly-regulated markets, such as Spain, which it understands best.
