Kansas City Chiefs Going for the 4th Win of 2024

The team that won the previous two Super Bowls started the 2024 season in top gear. First, the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27:20 at home. Then, they beat the Cincinnati Bengals at home, with the final score being 26:25. In their most recent game, the Chiefs beat the Atlanta Falcons 22:17 in Georgia.

Obviously, they haven’t been too impressive offensively, but their quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been doing a fine job. He’s thrown for five touchdowns so far, but he also got four of his passes intercepted. He also got sacked four times.

Kansas’s defense has been fantastic since the start of the season. These guys stopped the Ravens from scoring more than just one rushing TD, which is a great achievement as Baltimore is arguably the best team in the league when it comes to running the ball.

The Chiefs’ defense also did great against great ball-passers like Cincinnati’s QB Joe Burrow and Atlanta’s new QB Kirk Cousins.

Los Angeles Chargers Coming Back Home

The Los Angeles Chargers are coming back to SoFi Stadium after Week 1 when they defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 22:10. After the opening NFL weekend, they played two games on the road, winning one and losing the other. They blew out the Carolina Panthers 26:3, but then lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20:10.

The loss to the Steelers showed that Justin Herbert can be stopped. The Chargers’ QB went 25-for-32 for 245 yards and one touchdown, while one of his passes got intercepted. Fields did very well rushing the ball, even scoring one TD that way.

His colleagues from the rushing department were completely outplayed by the Steelers. Running back Najee Harris gained 70 yards, which isn’t bad at all, but he failed to produce a TD.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers Prediction

The Los Angeles Chargers are great offensively, but we think the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense can stop them. They kept them to under 20 points in each of their last two duels, and we think the same is going to happen on Sunday night. We also think Pat Mahomes & Co. will create some good moves, scoring at least three TDs, which should be enough for Kansas to cover the spread.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs -4.5
