In handing the judgment, the Judge acknowledged the defendant’s admission of guilt and genuine remorse. Judge Crowe also pointed to a letter of apology sent by the 43-year-old man. While the Judge highlighted the devastating impact of drugs, she imposed a more lenient sentence than initially anticipated. As a result, the man was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.
