Gaming Trade Bodies Hail ICE Barcelona’s Association Assembly

The assembly will allow trade bodies to promote their values and create new opportunities for the broader gaming community

As ICE Barcelona approaches, industry associations welcomed the convention’s decision to create the first ICE Association Assembly. The new feature is set to generate further benefits for trade bodies, allowing them to champion their values.

The Event Will Bring Together Over 55K Trailblazers

ICE Barcelona is set to take place between January 20-22, 2025, at Gran Via Fira de Barcelona. It will gather more than 55,000 trailblazers in the gaming industry providing unparalleled networking, business and education opportunities.

The event is set to welcome over 630 global exhibitors. Additionally, a total of 384 speakers will speak at the event. To top it all off, ICE Barcelona will host the first ICE Association Assembly.

As mentioned, the assembly will allow trade bodies to promote their values and create new opportunities for the broader gaming community. Two such bodies, namely the European Casino Association (ECA) and the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), hailed the new feature, which will enable them to engage with all sectors.

ECA Members Are Looking Forward to ICE Barcelona

The European Casino Association, which represents casino operators in Europe, was delighted by the new feature. Its chairman, Erwin Van Lambaart, commented on the matter, saying that the association’s members are already planning their week in Barcelona, which will allow them to engage with a variety of industry actors.

He added that the association’s involvement at ICE and its Conference program has previously been focused on networking and product development orientation. The new ICE event, however, will mark a significant milestone and will allow his team to fully interface with the global industry supply chain in its entirety for the first time.

We are looking forward to this unique opportunity to articulate our vision for the future to a diverse and comprehensive audience, where innovation, responsibility and significant partnerships for guest and customer centricity will have center stage.

AGEM Wants to Engage with a Truly International Audience

The AGEM, which is a non-profit international trade association representing gambling product manufacturers and suppliers, was likewise optimistic about the new feature. Daron Dorsey, AGEM’s chief executive officer, described this as an opportunity to explain the organization’s agenda and engage with a “truly international audience of association colleagues.”

We represent the interests of our gaming suppliers whose well-known brands are global in reach, so to be given the opportunity to explain our agenda and engage with what is a truly international audience of association colleagues on the ICE show floor is invaluable.

For reference, last year’s ICE event was also beneficial to non-profit organizations as it raised over £41,000 for charities.
