Apart from helping local teams and esports structures develop, FirstBlood is making a first foray into the market itself, with its operations already underway in places, such as Europe, North America, and India.
Divine Corp. Co-Founder Tran Thu Dong commented on the developments: “We want to make Vietnam a center for esports in Southeast Asia. In 6 months, we’ll look back at the results we’ve achieved and know why FirstBlood came here. 2019 is going to be a memorable year for esports in Vietnam!”
FirstBlood CEO Joe Zhou also expressed his confidence that the pair can work together to bring more esports to the region. Mr. Zhou added:
Divine league’s success is an instrumental proof to what our ultimate vision is at FirstBlood, the competitive side of video gaming could be available to just about anyone.
FirstBlood and PUBG Are Known Partners
FirstBlood has been running small tournaments across several regions. In North America, the company hosted a small $10,000 PUBG event in October, 2018, inviting 16 of the best teams in North America, including Cloud 9 and Ghost Gaming among others.
To this day, FirstBlood continues to host and run various competitions. On February 14, 2019, the platform is hosting the FirstBlood Charity Cup Series, which is a charity event developed with the help of Esports Foundation of Boston.
The Foundation is an initiative dedicated to providing relief and assistance in order to improve the quality of life of children in need. The event will be broadcasted on Twitch with Ben “LilFuzzySeal” Harris and Shane “Charity” Schiefelbein as the main casters.
