Entain’s Incoming Boss Readies to Step Down from Galaxy Gaming’s Board
Gavin Isaacs is the third full-time chief executive officer the company has appointed since it rebranded to Entain in 2020
An industry veteran, Gavin Isaacs, is preparing to step in at the helm of Entain, one of the largest betting and gaming companies worldwide. To ensure that he pays his undivided attention to the company, Isaacs has now confirmed that he will take an exit from Galaxy Gaming’s Board of Directors on August 30.
Isaacs Bows out of Galaxy Gaming to Focus on Entain
Isaacs has helped steer Galaxy Gaming towards success since 2019 when he first stepped in as a board member, but will now be withdrawing as his more demanding position will begin on September 2.
Isaacs confirmed in July that he will be taking over the reins from interim CEO Stella David who replaced the last full-time chief executive, Jette Nygaard-Andersen.
During his stint at Galaxy Gaming, the company grew its global footprint and accepted a takeover bid from Evolution, a rival, agreeing to transfer ownership for $85 million. Commenting on his exit from the company, Galaxi Gaming Chair Mark Lipparelli praised Isaacs for his significant involvement with the company and impact on the company’s operations.
“He has been an integral part of our success and the company’s growth over his more than five years as a member of the board,” Lipparelli said, and praised the man for his unwavering commitment in assisting Galaxy Gaming position itself strongly in a competitive market, having contributed to many of the company’s successes.
“We thank him for his tremendous insights and expertise, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors with Entain, and anywhere beyond that his journey may take him,” Lipparelli offered.
A Company Readying for New Leadership Era
Isaacs is fully committed to focusing his undivided attention on Entain as he also previously stepped down from his role of chair at Games Global, although he will remain a non-executive director with the company. Apart from this, Isaacs serves at several other companies in various capacities.
Isaacs is a prominent industry veteran, having served as part of numerous companies in his time, including SB Tech, Scientific Games, DraftKings, Bally Technologies, and Aristocrat Technologies.
Meanwhile, David will work with Isaacs as he settles into her new position before she transitions to the role of Entain Chair, replacing the outgoing Barry Gibson on the job.
