Denver Broncos Praying for a Miracle in 2024

In his first season at the helm of the Denver Broncos, Sean Payton led the team to an 8-9 record. They finished third in the AFC West, failing to make the postseason for the 8^th time in a row. They were hopeful about their playoff chances before the start of the season, especially given that quarterback Russell Wilson was in his second season with the Broncos.

However, he didn’t do much. In fact, the Broncos were pretty disappointing defensively, scoring just 21.0 points per game on average. This is why losing him to the Steelers shouldn’t be much of an issue.

They drafted Bo Nix this season, while also signing Zach Willson. That said, they shouldn’t worry much about the QB position – their passing game just can’t be much worse than it was last season.

Seattle Seahawks New Coach to Make His Debut on September 8

Mike MacDonald is Seattle’s new coach, who’s replacing legendary Pete Carroll. He’s bringing offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb with him, but the rest of the coaching staff is still pretty much the same.

Another thing that remains pretty much the same is Seattle’s roster. Quarterback Geno Smith is supposed to be in the center, with his main targets being DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Over in the running department, Seattle’s key RB is Kenneth Walker III, followed by Zach Charbonnet, and others.

These guys were averaging 21.4 points per game, and we expect nothing less from them in 2024. Actually, we do expect at least a slight improvement in Seattle’s offensive output.

We also expect the Seahawks to do very well defensively. The main reason is that their new coach is famous for being a sort of defensive guru. That’s no surprise given that he spent the last two years in the role of a defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens.

We think that in 2024, the Seattle Seahawks are a better team than the Denver Broncos. Their defense is good enough to stop the Broncos, while their offense led by Geno Smith looks capable of scoring just enough points to secure a win in Week 1.
