Denmark is Looking Really Great

In the previous Euros, the Danes went all the way to the semifinal stage where England beat them after extra time. Then, at the World Cup in Qatar, they flopped, finishing at the bottom of their group. Their blunder in Qatar is what made their fans curb their enthusiasm for the Euro 2024.

Pessimists seemed they were right after the first round of the tournament after they drew 1:1 with Slovenia. However, in the second round of the Euros, the Danes drew 1:1 with England, which came to Germany bearing the role of the No. 1 favorite for the title.

In fact, Denmark was the better side in that game. Their midfielder did a fantastic job in creating chances and making sure the English players stayed far from their box. Denmark’s defenders were at the top of their game as well, but it’s their final third that could’ve done better.

Actually, it seems that this team’s Achilles’ heel is the offense. Both of Denmark’s goals at the Euro 2024 were scored by midfielders – Cristian Eriksen and Martin Hjlmand.

Their colleagues from the attacking department – Rasmus Hojlund and Jonas Wind – have been quiet so far.

Serbia Needs to Go All-In

Serbia had just one shot on goal against England in the first round. The reason they didn’t lose by more than 1:0 is that Southgate decided to defend rather than continue attacking. It was a dull game, the same as Serbia’s second-round game with Slovenia.

Actually, that game was boring until very late in the game. Slovenia got a 1:0 lead in the 69th minute, but the Serbs managed to equalize thanks to a last-second goal by Luka Jovic.

As a result, Serbia has one point and a chance to get to the knockout phase. For that, however, these guys need to beat Denmark.

Denmark vs. Serbia Prediction

Serbia’s biggest problem in this tournament has been the creation of goal chances. The bad news for them is that preventing opponents from creating chances is what the Danes do best. Our prediction is that they will control this game, getting themselves at least a point so that they’d qualify for the next phase as the Group C runners-up.
