Carnival Corporation Installs Galaxy Gaming Jackpot Systems Onboard 50 Ships
Cruise ships all over the world are increasingly exploring casino gaming as one of their most worthwhile and value-added amenities
To this end, Carnival Corporation & PLC has confirmed that it has introduced Galaxy Gaming’s eponymous jackpot system.
The Galaxy Operating System (GOS) is now live on 50 ships worldwide and it makes it possible for travelers to enjoy a variety of fantastic game options, including table games, with more than $5 million available in jackpot payouts to players.
Progressive Jackpots Arrive to Carnival Corporation Ships
The GOS is a jackpot progressive system that is now available on all Carnival Corporation ships, which include the company’s Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, and Princess Cruises.
Following a launch this year, the system has quickly proven to be a success with players, owing to its next-gen game management system that has been honed by some of the leading experts in the iGaming and casino industry.
Owing to a variety of technological innovations, such as digital tracking capabilities, and eye-catching sensors from the Nebula product range, GOS has quickly established itself as a disruptor in the gaming industry, and a solution that Carnival Corporation now hopes to see boost its results.
Commenting on the introduction of this new software and hardware solution for the range of ships, Galaxy Gaming CEO and president Matt Reback first hailed Carnival Corporation’s status as one of the most exceptional providers of cruise experiences, enhanced by groundbreaking amenities such as GOS.
Galaxy Gaming and Carnival Committed to Leveling up the Traveling Experience
“We are thrilled that the deployment of our GOS system, along with our joint efforts to create engaging player experiences, has brought a best-in-class table games experience to their casino players across the entire fleet,” he further noted.
As to Carnival Corporation, VP for NA gaming operations, Dave Thomas, was similarly pleased with the opportunity to offer a more diverse range of experiences for travelers who board the company’s ships.
“The innovative GOS technology not only elevates the quality of our gaming offerings but also ensures that our customers enjoy a seamless and engaging experience throughout their voyage,” he added.
Earlier this month, Princess Cruises confirmed that it is already seeking to strengthen its gaming capabilities by introducing games and solutions from Aristocrat Gaming. In the meantime, the importance of on-board casinos as an economic driver has not been lost on entire jurisdictions.
The Cayman Islands for example have reckoned that they could allow casinos to continue operating while ships are in territorial waters, although a few caveats will apply along the way. Onboard casinos are now an indispensable part of the cruise experience.
