Caesars Unveils WSOP Paradise with Record-Breaking Guaranteed Pool

Caesars noted that the highlight of the event will be a $25,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Championship with a stellar $50 million guarantee

As the World Series of Poker event in Las Vegas is already nearing its end, Caesars Entertainment is making plans for the next poker battlefield. And this time, Caesars will take things to the Bahamas.

According to the casino and hospitality giant, its second WSOP Paradise event will take place from December 6 to December 19. The upcoming tournament will provide poker enthusiasts with another chance to play with their peers, challenge their rivals and compete for huge prizes.

The second edition of the WSOP Paradise event is set to take place at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Hosted in partnership with GGPoker, WSOP Paradise will feature the “most comprehensive set of high-roller and super high-roller tournaments ever offered.”

Buy-ins will range from a respectable $2,500 to a whopping $1 million for those who really want to feel the thrill of playing with something on the line.

While the full schedule has yet to be released by Caesars and GGPoker, the former company noted that the highlight of the event will be a $25,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Championship. What makes this so special is that the tournament will offer a $50 million guarantee – the largest guaranteed prize pool in live poker history.

Caesars Doubles Down on WSOP Paradise

The first WSOP Paradise event was held last year and was a risky gambit on Caesars’ side because some feared that players might be tired of competing or prefer one of the other poker events that were running at the time.

For context, the inaugural WSOP Paradise took place at around the same time as the WTP World Championship and EPT Prague. Despite that, it seems like it was successful enough, considering that Caesars is doubling down on it with a record $50 million guarantee.

The $50 million guarantee, for comparison, singlehandedly nears the combined guarantees of all tournaments of last year’s WSOP Paradise.

Speaking of WSOP, Jonathan Tamayo just prevailed at the main WSOP event in Las Vegas, taking home some $10 million. The event gathered approximately 10,000 players but only Tamayo, of Humble, Texas, was able to reach the pinnacle of poker.

Jordan Griff from Scottsdale, Arizona, was the runner-up who kept Tamayo on his toes for three hours.
