Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions Week 15 Odds, Time, and Prediction
The Detroit Lions (12-1) will lock horns with the Buffalo Bills (10-3) this coming Sunday in a cross-conference showdown at Ford Field.
Both teams have already secured a berth in the postseason. The Detroit Lions locked in at least an NFC wild-card spot with last weekend’s win over the Green Bay Packers. The Buffalo Bills did their job even earlier, securing their fifth straight AFC East title by Week 13.
Both are relaxed ahead of Week 15, ready to test out some new plays and put some youngsters into action. This, however, doesn’t mean they’re not interested in winning. On the contrary, both teams want to keep the momentum and carry their good form over to the postseason.
The Lions are riding an incredible 11-game winning streak, the best in the history of the franchise. The Bills have been in good for as well, although mainly on their turf. They’ve struggled on the road this season, posting a 4-3 record away from Highmark Stadium.

When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan

- How to Watch: CBS
Can Josh Allen Lead the Buffalo Bills to a Win on December 15?
Josh Allen is coming off a fantastic performance in Detroit’s loss to Los Angeles last weekend. We saw him throw for 342 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 82 yards and another three TDs.
Allen has been the driving force behind Buffalo’s offense, which averages 30.5 points per game, which is second only to Detroit. With 3,033 passing yards and a 23-to-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio, along with 416 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, Allen’s been a real dual-threat QB this season.
His performances all around the field have kept the Bills in AFC contention despite key injuries to Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde.
Despite Allen playing on an MVP level, his team still ended up losing 44:12 to the Rams last weekend, which was their first defeat since early October. On the bright side, before that game, the Bills had won seven games straight, holding six opponents to 21 points or fewer.
Can the Detroit Lions Win Their 12th Game in a Row?
The Detroit Lions are 12-1 overall, with their only loss happening back in Week 2. The best thing for them is that NFL odds suggest they’re going to win again. They enter this matchup with 10 days of rest following their win over the Packers in Week 14.
The 2024 NFL season has been incredible for them. Not only have they already broken the record for the most wins in a row, but they also have a chance to set a new record for most wins in a single season. For that to happen, they just need to win one of their remaining four games.
Could it be the Bills vs. Lions game? Judging by the odds, the answer is yes. Buffalo is a great team, but Detroit’s players have been great against such opponents.
Despite dealing with a slew of injuries, the Lions have slain a couple of giants over the last few weeks. For example, they defeated Green Bay despite being without key players like left tackle Taylor Decker and defensive linemen Levi Onwuzurike, D.J. Reader, and Josh Paschal. The great news for Lions fans is that these guys are expected to return in Week 15.
Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions Prediction
The Lions are riding an 11-game winning streak and are well-rested with 10 days off since their last victory. Further, Ford Field provides a familiar environment for the Lions, where they lost just one game in more than 12 months. Meanwhile, the Bills have been inconsistent on the road, with a 4-3 away record.
Sure, the Bills have an ace up their sleeve in the form of Josh Allen, but Detroit’s defense is elite. The Lions are conceding just 18.0 points per game, which puts them in shared second spot on the list of the best defenses in the 2024 NFL.
That said, we think they can deal with the guy, and if their offensive teammates do as well as they’ve been doing in practically every game of the season, the Lions are going to win.
Pick: Detroit Lions
