BGaming Unveils Júlio César Slot Before World Cup

BGaming has partnered with football legend Júlio César for a new penalty shootout slot set on Rio’s beaches, right ahead of the year’s most prominent soccer event

The rebranded BGaming company that grew “from a small studio to a broader brand with publishing and celebrity slots” like Snoop Dogg-inspired Snoop Dogg Dollars game is getting ready for a new and equally exciting launch, this time around with former Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César at the center.

Planned for June, the release is expected to arrive just in time for the much-anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Penalty Duel Introduces Júlio César in 3D

Called Penalty Duel, the game puts players in the role of a penalty taker facing César in goal. The legendary keeper, known for his performances on the biggest stages, appears as the main character in a 3D animated format. The concept is simple: score past César to unlock multipliers.

The studio shared early clips of the game on X earlier this week, with César promoting the release during a “symbolic contract signing ceremony held at the BGaming booth” that drew “huge attention” during the BiS SiGMA South America.

The iconic player “personally signed the agreement on-site, marking the beginning of the collaboration”, drawing in over 200 visitors, and generating strong engagement from partners, media, and fans during the activation that also featured an autograph and photo session

“Authentic, Culturally Relevant” Game

According to the company, Penalty Duel introduces two features designed to improve gameplay. The Chance feature increases the likelihood of triggering the Golden Ball, which then raises the chances of scoring.

There is also a Buy Bonus option that unlocks a special penalty round set on a Rio beach backdrop.

In a press statement, BGaming highlighted its aim to create a slot “that feels authentic, culturally relevant, and deeply connected” to football culture. Chief marketing officer Kate Pateiko pointed to César’s legacy as a key part of that approach:

“Júlio César is a true legend of Brazilian football, and we are proud to welcome him as a partner. This collaboration goes far beyond a traditional endorsement; it’s about integrating his legacy directly into the product experience.”

Pateiko added that working with figures like César helps the studio strengthen its position in Latin America. It also allows the company to “engage new audiences and deliver experiences that truly resonate.”

“With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, the timing makes this launch even more exciting,” Pateiko added.

The move fits into a wider push into the region. BGaming’s chief product officer, Yulia Alekseeva, previously described South America as “a key growth area” for the business. Other studios adopted a similar approach, with Tada Gaming recently teaming up with Brazilian streamer Yuri Brida to launch Fortune Yuri 500.
