Arsenal Fans Putting Hopes in the Power of Emirates

The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League with 47 points. Their overall record is 13-8-2, while at Emirates Stadium, they’re 7-4-0. What’s interesting is that Mikel Arteta’s men are the only Premier League side that’s still without a single loss at home.

The last time they played at home, they drew 2:2 with Aston Villa, even though they were the dominant side throughout the game. They had the ball in their possession for nearly two-thirds of the time and made 18 goal attempts.

Aston Villa made eight goal attempts – four of those went toward the net and two actually hit the net. The reason why the Gunners didn’t do better defensively is that several of their key defenders missed the game due to injury problems.

The bad news is that some of them will probably miss the Arsenal vs. Manchester City game as well. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are definitely out of the picture, while Riccardo Calafiori is listed as doubtful.

Manchester City Trying to Get Back in the Title Race

The Citizens have 41 points, with a 12-5-6 record. They’re trailing by 12 points behind the No. 1 team in the Prem, Liverpool. It’s all because of their horrible run at the end of 2024, but the bad days seem to be over for Pep Guardiola’s men.

They’re without a single loss in the Premier League since December. In their last six league games, we saw them winning four times and playing a draw twice.

Last weekend, they did a great job against Chelsea, coming back from a 1:0 deficit to win 3:1. Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland was brilliant in that game, scoring once and making one assist.

It was his third straight game (in all competitions) that he found the net. Will he score again on Sunday?

Arsenal vs. Manchester City Prediction

Arsenal’s biggest weakness at the moment is their defense, and with Man City’s scoring machine Erling Haaland being in top form, the Gunners are in trouble.

That said, we predict a very high-scoring game, with goals on both ends. Still, we think it’s going to be the visiting team that will score at least one goal more.

Pick: Manchester City & Over 2.5 Goals
