Affinity Interactive Brings Halise Ekmen Uysal as CFO

Affinity Interactive, an omnichannel media and operator of casino properties in multiple jurisdictions across the United States, has announced the appointment of Halise Ekmen Uysal as the company’s new chief financial officer.

More Than 20 Years of Relevant Experience

The media, which is owned by Z Capital Group, has brought Uysal as an executive, tapping into her more than 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. Commenting on her appointment, Affinity Interactive CEO Andrei Scrivens welcomed Uysal as an accomplished professional and executive who has shown her value in the hospitality and gaming sectors.

Her track record of driving sustainable financial results while building high-performing, diverse teams will benefit all of AI’s businesses and help us execute our strategic priorities.

She was also welcomed by Affinity Interactive chairman James J. Zenni Jr. who said that Uysal will play a significant role in the management team and strengthen the entire company and its operations in inline gaming, casinos and not least, digital media.

The executive noted that Uysal’s decades of relevant financial experience and expertise would help bring positive results for the Affinity Interactive portfolio. Zenni further praised Uysal for what he saw as “business acumen.” As to the new appointee herself, Uysal was absolutely pleased to be coming on board Affinity Interactive.

She hailed the company as one that is at the very forefront of gaming innovation, and that leverages an ample portfolio of digital, media and technology assets to bring the best solutions to bear.

Uysal has previously worked in various C-level positions, and she served as chief finance, strategy, and transformation officer for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. She also did a lengthy stint with Caesars Entertainment Corporation for 12 years in various finance roles, which helped her hone her understanding and expertise in the hospitality and gaming industry, and set her on a long-life career path to working for some of the most significant players in the industry.
