711.nl Selected as SC Telstar’s Main Sponsor
The gambling company has also become the naming sponsor of the club’s home stadium, the 711 Stadium in Velsen-Zuid
Gambling operator 711.nl has forged a new partnership with SC Telstar, a Dutch soccer club. Under the agreement, the former company will serve as the team’s main sponsor until the end of the 2024-25 season.
As agreed, 711 will sponsor the Netherlands-based club, supporting it financially throughout the season. In return, the club will feature 711’s logo on the front of its player’s uniforms for the next two seasons.
In addition, the gambling company has become the naming sponsor of the club’s home stadium, the 711 Stadium in Velsen-Zuid. The agreement will help 711 popularize its brand while providing the soccer club with the support it needs.
The arrangement was officialized on June 27 and attended by Telstar and 711’s boards of directors. The document was signed by Tom de Backer, 711’s chief executive officer, and Leon Annokkée, SC Telstar’s general manager. The signing was also attended by contract negotiators Jasper van Nieuwerburgh, Gilles de Backer and Bart Appelman.
The Deal Will Benefit Both Parties
Tom de Backer shared his thoughts on the deal with SC Telstar, saying that he is very happy to have signed this agreement. He praised Telstar for being a “quirky, accessible and sympathetic club,” and noted that he was pleasantly surprised by its friendliness and ambition.
De Backer explained that the club is bullish on developing in both the sporting and commercial fields. He concluded that 711 and SC Telstar are well-suited to work with one another.
In the meantime, Leon Annokkée praised 711 for being a fast-growing platform that leverages business expertise to take the market by storm. Annokkée thanked the operator for recognizing Telstar’s ambition and being willing to “contribute to it with conviction.”
The general manager concluded that his team is excited to work with the gambling company.
We are delighted with the partnership and believe that we can responsibly implement the growth of both Telstar and 711.
