100 Thieves Reveals Full VALORANT Roster, Restarts Gamers for Equality

Just hours ahead of the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown NA, 100 Thieves revealed the full roster of its VALORANT team, captained by CS:GO professional Spencer “Hiko” Martin.

Esports competitive organization 100 Thieves has revealed the names of all participants in the outfit’s VALORANT team. The news arrived on Friday, June 26, via Twitter, with the team securing the services of Spencer “Hiko” Martin who now captains the VALORANT squad.

Other signees include Diondre “YeBoiDre” Bond, Alred “Pride” Choi, Keane “Valliate” Alonso and Zachary “Venerated” Roach, bolstering the organization’s footprint in the up-and-coming Riot Games’ fantasy shooter.

The players know each other from before, as they have all competed in Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds under the Highground battle tag. 100 Thieves first fielded the players in the ESPN Esports Valorant Invitational as tryouts to determine if it wants to secure their services for a professional team.

Hiko comes from Counter-Strike, a game that shares much of the raw gameplay mechanics of VALORANT. He previously played for Rogue’s team and Team Liquid, both considered a top-performing squads in CS:GO.

100 Thieves will first participate in the $50,000 tournament hosted by T1 and Nerd Street Gamers, and simply known as T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown. The event will feature several established professional esports organizations, including Cloud9, Team SoloMid, Faze Clan, and others.

Gamers of Equality Initiative Returns at Full Blast

Meanwhile, 100 Thieves is restarting the Gamers for Equality initiative which will arrive next month with three games featured in the event, including League of Legends, VALORANT, and Fortnite.

The only company to be invited and turn down participation was Activision with Call of Duty. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves CEO Matthew Haag, or Nadeshot, explained that Activision had turned down the invitation as the company cited concerns about CashApp sponsoring the event.100 Thieves will stick with CashApp as the company has volunteered $100,000 which will go to charities.

As of the time of reporting, 100 Thieves have 3 points in the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown and they are second behind T1 in Group C with 2-1 overall score.
