Valentin Moldavsky Making His PFL Debut on April 4

The 2024 PFL 1 main event will be Valentin Moldavsky’s first fight in this promotion. Before that, he fought in Bellator MMA, which is where he even fought for the Heavyweight title two years ago. Unfortunately for him, Ryan Bader beat him by unanimous decision.

The loss to Bader is one of only three losses in Moldavsky’s professional career. Another one happened to Linton Vassell last year. The Englishman KO-ed him in Round 1.

When it comes to his wins, Moldavsky has 12 victories in his portfolio, eight of which happened after the final bell. Obviously, this guy is a tactical fighter with great stamina. Unfortunately for him, those sorts of fighters don’t usually do great in PFL.

Ante Delija Looking for a Quick Finish

Ante Delija is a former PFL champion who’s 24-5 overall with no losses since 2021 when Bruno Cappelozza beat him by unanimous decision. Delija fought only one fight last year (and won) but had to give up due to a knee injury.

Fast-forward to April 2024 and he’s 100% fit and ready to challenge for another $1,000,000. For that, he needs to beat Moldavsky, which is not going to be easy. However, Delija is significantly more powerful than his opponent, with incredible striking ability.

The evidence of this is that two of his last three wins happened by a TKO in Round 1. In his most recent fight, he failed to put Maurice Greene to sleep, but there’s an explanation for that. First of all, Delija was reportedly struggling with an injury. Secondly, Green is a tall guy who’s hard to reach. He’s 6’7, which is 6 inches more than Delija’s next opponent.
