The Rank Group Names Jon Martin Chief Operating Officer

The fast-growing and popular gambling company based in the UK, The Rank Group, strengthened its senior-level team by confirming a new promotion. The company has announced that it promoted Jon Martin, one of its valuable senior-level members, to the newly created role of chief operating officer. Although details regarding the new promotion emerged recently, The Rank Group said that Martin will step into his new role at some point this summer.

Currently, he holds the role of managing director for Rank Interactive. Martin was appointed to that role back in 2020 and is now expected to transition from Gibraltar to the UK, as a part of his promotion to chief operating officer of The Rank Group.

As a chief operating officer, Martin will be in charge of the development and growth of the Group. He will oversee the company’s Mecca and Grosvenor brands and play a key role in the development of cross-channel services and experiences. At the same time, Martin will be in charge of processes related to the performance and strategy of Rank Interactive.

Ultimately, the efforts of the new chief operating officer will be after developing a cross-channel experience that is unique, seamless and meets the requirements of Mecca and Grosvenor’s customers via digital and retail channels. In light of the senior-level change, The Rank Group confirmed it has started to explore options for the appointment of a new managing director of Rank Interactive.

Martin, Thrilled to Join the Rank Group’s C-Suite

Sharing his excitement, Martin said that he is thrilled to play such an important role in the company’s growth. He confirmed that his efforts will be dedicated to creating a “more seamless brand experience” between the company’s digital and land-based offerings. Moreover, Martin said that he will focus on helping the Group continue to grow.

“A key priority will be working more closely with our venues’ management teams, whilst utilizing our proprietary technology to deliver a more compelling customer experience for existing and new cross-channel customers.“
