Switzerland vs. Germany 2024 Euro Odds, Time, and Prediction

Switzerland vs. Germany is probably the most exciting matchup of Group A of the Euro 2024. The game is played at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sunday, June 23

After winning in the first two rounds of Euro 2024, the tournament host has already booked a place in the knockout phase. However, Germany still hasn’t secured the No. 1 spot, which the Mannschaft will do if they don’t lose to the Swiss on June 23.

Switzerland Is a Step Away from the Knockouts

The Swiss have every right to hope to get to the knockout phase of the Euro 2024. If they win on June 23, they will definitely get there as they’ll finish at the top of Group A. However, judging by the Switzerland vs. Germany odds, such a scenario isn’t very likely to happen.

A more plausible scenario is that the Swiss will hold the Germans to a tie. In that case, Switzerland would finish second. Even a loss on Sunday could see them stay in the second position – if Scotland doesn’t get a big win over Hungary.

And even if the Tartan Army leapfrogged them due to a better score difference, the Swiss would still stand a chance of qualifying for the knockouts as one of the four best third-placed teams.

Germany Wants to Finish the Group Stage in the 1st Place

Germany wants to win Group A, and it’s not just because of prestige. They want to do it so that they would have an easier schedule in the knockouts. The thing is that the winner of Group A gets to play against the runner-up from Group C.

How things currently stand, Denmark is likely to finish in that place. Although the Danas are good, they’re not as dangerous as Italy/Spain/Croatia, one of which will take on the second-placed team in Group A.

Knowing that the Mannschaft has the motivation to win on June 23, it’s likely that we’ll witness another masterclass by Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz, and the rest.

Switzerland vs. Germany Prediction

Germany needs to win this game and we’re almost 100% certain they will do it. Not only are they motivated to beat the Swiss but given that the tournament is played on their turf, they’ll have their fans to give them support from the stands.

And even if all that wasn’t the case, we’d still favor them for the simple fact that their roster is much better than the one of Switzerland.
