Sportingtech Taps GAN HR Expert as Chief People Officer
Tom Ustunel, Sportingtech’s chief executive officer, welcomed Claire Bailiss on board and praised her significant expertise in HR

Sportingtech has reinforced its team with the addition of a new chief people officer. The one up to the task is Claire Bailiss, an experienced individual who has formerly worked for the American iGaming platform GAN.
As the new chief people officer of the full-service betting and gaming platform provider, Bailiss will be tasked with developing and implementing the company’s human resources strategy and policies. In addition, she will be leading a wider HR and talent acquisition team and will be responsible for fostering a productive work environment. Furthermore, Bailiss will work on championing diversity, equity and inclusion.
An additional part of her responsibilities would include the implementation of programs to attract and retain top talent and manage professional development, compensations and benefits.
Bailiss’ appointment as chief people officer comes in the wake of a series of internal promotions. The new hire is a further enhancement to Sportingtech’s team as the company strives to establish a positive working environment and boost employee satisfaction.
As mentioned, Bailiss is a former GAN HR worker. She joined the iGaming platform in 2016, initially serving a term as head of HR. In this position, Bailiss was responsible for all aspects of HR within GAN’s office in London and its satellite operations in the United States and Bulgaria. In 2021, Bailiss was named as GAN’s director of human resources.
Bailiss’ track record also includes HR positions at a variety of other companies, such as Ask.com, Turner Broadcasting System and EMI Group.
Bailiss Is Looking Forward to Working with Sportingtech
Tom Ustunel, Sportingtech’s chief executive officer, welcomed Bailiss on board and praised her significant expertise in HR. He emphasized that she would be a great addition to the company’s C-suite and said that she is perfectly suited to be Sportingtech’s new chief people officer.
Our brilliant team is our strongest asset and under Claire’s leadership, we look forward to strengthening our position as one of the industry’s best employers.
Tom Ustunel, CEO, Sportingtech
Bailiss also commented on the matter, expressing her excitement about joining Sportingtech. She praised the platform provider as a brilliant company and said that she could not wait to work with its team.
I will look forward to working with new and existing members of the Sportingtech team as they share in the company’s achievements and build on its continued growth.
Claire Bailiss, chief people officer, Sportingtech
Ustunel was appointed as CEO of Sportingtech earlier this year and was tasked with spearheading the company’s 2024 expansion.
